Clint’s First Communion
May 9, 2009
Mother’s Day weekend, I headed home to be with family not only to celebrate Mother’s Day, but to attend my nephew Clint’s first communion. I accompanied my parents to the service in West. We didn’t know until after we arrived that my other nephew, Clay, was going to be one of the alter boys for the service.

Great Day
I was very proud of Clint that day. He often struggles with the challenges of autism, but on this day, everything went smoothly for him.

After the mass, the whole family headed to my sister’s home to celebrate Clint’s big day. My brother-in-law, Bradley fired up his cooker and made a huge batch of fried catfish. The rest of the evening was spent visiting with family and enjoying the great weather.
