North to West
January 9, 2010
Bradley, my brother-in-law, is one of those multi-talented individuals who can build practically anything, especially items made of metal. This past holiday season, when my sister wanted to know what I’d like for Christmas, I asked if it would be possible for Bradley to build a fire-pit for my backyard. In my mind, I was picturing something very simple. What I got was a large, perfectly welded, steel, maroon, aTm embossed fire-pit. It was more than I expected. This awesome gift presented one tiny challenge; there was no way it would fit in my little Kia. On the weekend of the 9th, Glenn drove us in the direction (North) to my hometown (West). Along the way, we stopped at my parents’ house, celebrated my mom’s birthday, and then proceeded to my sister’s home to pick up the pit. The journey to get the pit turned into a fun family visit. Shortly after returning to College Station, we put the fire-pit to good use. This was the coldest night in recent history, and we spent it outside!
