A Cowgirl Wedding (but don’t tell)

May 1, 2010

The beginning of a very busy May started off with a wedding between one of my church-friends, Kelly, and her partner, Tammy. On the first of May, Ruben and I joined a small group of Kelly’s friends at the reflection pond of the George Bush Library. Kyle officiated that day as Kelly and Tammy exchanged vows. Following this ceremony, we gathered at the Republic Steakhouse for the reception. The food was amazing (and so was the company). Here’s to Kelly and Tammy. I wish them all the best and am grateful they shared this special day with us.

You might ask yourself, why are the faces of the couple blacked-out? Well, not everyone in this “freedom loving” country has the right to openly express their love for their soul mate. Brave men and women (who follow the same code of conduct, honor, and are willing to defend this country) have to live in fear by the rules of Don’t Ask Don’t Tell. *sigh*

Thanks again for letting me share part of my world with you.
