On the 23rd, I headed home to celebrate Christmas with my mom’s side of the. As usual, my mom cooked enough to feed a small army. We all had a great time, especially while playing a white-elephant gift game/exchange. Unfortunately, we didn’t get to spend time with my dad’s side of the family because of holiday scheduling conflicts. On Christmas Eve I accompanied my parents to the candlelight service at their church. Christmas morning was spent again with my parents, my sister, her husband, and their two sons. Later that afternoon, we were joined by my granny, and her best friend, Jule.
April 24, 2011 Shortly before Easter, Ruben headed to South Texas to be with his family and I headed to Central Texas to be with mine. Saturday, I spent most of the day with my parents and my nephews. That evening, Clay showed me his first truck. It’s a “fixer-upper” but the perfect hobby for [...]
November 20, 2010 For the past two seasons, I’ve spent every TAMU home game at the top of Kyle Field shooting the gigapixel-panoramic photos for the Aggie Athletic website. May 9, 2010 Sunday morning, I drove to Gholson, Texas to celebrate Mother’s Day with my family. We gathered at my Granny’s house for lunch, then afterward I headed to my parents’ home. I can’t believe I haven’t been home since December. While I was there, I finally saw the furniture I bought my parents [...]
March 16, 2010 Spring Break 2010 turned into more of a “staycation.” Ruben and I spent most of it at home. During this downtime, my family came up for a little visit. Clint was excited to see Tucker and my new train layout. Clay brought his tuba along so he could show how much progress [...]
January 9, 2010 Bradley, my brother-in-law, is one of those multi-talented individuals who can build practically anything, especially items made of metal. This past holiday season, when my sister wanted to know what I’d like for Christmas, I asked if it would be possible for Bradley to build a fire-pit for my backyard. In my [...]
