I once met a woman from Poitier, France who had visited the Statue of Liberty in NYC five times, but had NEVER been to the Eiffel Tower. She’s not the only person I’ve encountered who has traveled far to sightsee, while giving little thought to places nearby. I’m guilty of doing the same thing, but this week, I decided to change that.
