August 11, 2011 Thursday morning, we checked out of our hotel, had our bags held at the convention center and began attending more SIGGRAPH presentations. As soon as we finished our last event, Ruben and I went to the Pacific Central Station, checked our bags there and spent some time exploring Chinatown before embarking on [...]

August 10, 2011 Ruben and I wanted to make the most of our time in Vancouver, so we got up really early Wednesday morning to explore Vancouver (and do some geocaching) before we had to attend our first SIGGRAPH event of the day. We ventured to Granville Island, and the gayborhood (Davie Village) before returning [...]

FYI: SIGGRAPH is short for [...]

August 6-7, 2009

The last two days of this conference were just as busy as the start of the week. Thursday was spent attending the Disney educators meeting where Disney presented the work they had recently done with our students this past summer.
