The last two days of this conference were just as busy as the start of the week. Thursday was spent attending the Disney educators meeting where Disney presented the work they had recently done with our students this past summer.
August 4-5, 2009
SIGGRAPH is a non-stop experience of information-overload. When we weren’t trekking to and from our hotel, all of our time was spent somewhere in this mile-long conference center.

Early Sunday morning I boarded a bus along with other staff and students from our department. Before the sun came up, we were on our way to New Orleans to spend the week attending SIGGRAPH 2009

When the recent swine-flu pandemic became big news, I believed everyone started overreacting. The university canceled all business travel to Mexico, and most public areas on campus were plastered with flu-prevention propaganda.
